Above: House from Southwest
In March, 2009 we had a chance to tour the house designed by Horace
Trumbauer on the "Heights of Darby."  To say it is a magnificent house
is an understatement.  The building has been horribly damaged after
scrappers cut away copper flashing from the
roof dormers sometime after
2013.  In 2016 it became part of the Delaware County Park system.
The Mansion known as Woodburne is seeking partners for a new life.
Note the parquet floors and woodwork
