Salvador Picture Gallery Scam
Over the past several weeks we have been contacted by people from Florida,
Virginia, New York and North Carolina looking for the a Les Reo or Al Reo, or
A.L. Reo at the Salvadore Picture Gallery at 1006 Main Street in Darby. No
such business place exisits, at least at that address. 1006 Main Street is our home
and it appears that someone is using that address illegally, possibly to engage in a
fraud and a scam. We have notified the local field ofiice of the FBI and the
Federal Trade Commission and suggest you do the same.

The scheme seems to be that someone sends you a money order  with
instructions to deposit it in your account. You are then instructed to send a check
from your account to someone else minus 10% "commission."  The problem is
the original money order takes time to clear and by the time you learn that it is
no good, the amount of the check you wrote has already been taken from your
account.  Please notify the FBI or the Federal Trade Commission. Do NOT send
anything to 1006 Main because we have nothing to do with this.

Update, Niovember 2009

After being quiet for a while, we have received three phone calls in the past few days from
people who have received UPS packages containing two money-grams from Les Reo drawn on
Wells Fargo in Alaska each in an amount of $870 with no other information. I don't know why,
but wonder if this could be an attempt to get your account number and signature. People do not
often send money for no reason, especially people they don't know.

As a precaution, you may want to enter an fraud alert to one of the big three credit reporting
agencies.
Experian (TRW) 888-397-3742
TransUnion 800-680-7289
Equifax 800-525-6285

The Federal Trade Commission has a web site to report Identity Theft
(Google Federal Trade Comission or go to  www.consumer.gov/idtheft

UPS has a web address to report fraud: Send an e-mail with information about what happened
to fraud@ups.com

There is also a group called Anti-Fraud International
www.antifraudintl.org who believes
information is one of the best defenses against fraud.

We have also been told we can simply take the items to the local police

Good Luck..
